It is known that the effective management of the educational and training process is based on accurate knowledge of the specifics of the competitive activity of athletes. In connection with the above, the problem of researching the structure and content of the section Self-Defense of hand-to-hand combat, determining its specifics and finding ways to further improve this direction, in accordance with the current trends in the development of the sport, becomes particularly relevant. The information obtained under the given conditions can be a fundamental basis for making changes in the training system of arm athletes at various stages of multi-year improvement.
