Features of teaching the academic discipline “athletics with teaching methods” in distance learning mode for future specialists in physical education and sports

Abstract

Introduction and purpose of the study. The article discusses the problem of teaching sports pedagogical disciplines to future specialists in physical education and sports in the conditions of distance learning. The impact of distance education on the quality of training of education seekers was studied and the ways of improving the educational process to modern requirements and realities were determined. The purpose of the study – to analyze the peculiarities of teaching the educational discipline “Athletics with teaching methods” to first-year full-time students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Health and Tourism in the distance learning mode. Material and methods. During the research, the following methods were used: study and generalization of data from literary sources, the Internet; interpretation of existing theoretical approaches and empirical results; poll; analysis of regulatory documents regulating the educational process. Results. An analysis of the content, structure and scope of the educational discipline “Athletics with teaching methods” is given. A survey was conducted using a formalized questionnaire (Google form) of first-year bachelor’s degree applicants regarding their attitude to distance learning.

Conclusions. The study emphasizes that distance education in modern realities is one of the main forms of education at the level of traditional education. An important condition for improving approaches to teaching sports and pedagogical disciplines is the use of information and communication technologies in the educational environment.
