Introduction and purpose of the study. The analysis of scientific research on the problem of personal physical culture formation indicates the need for scientific substantiation of modern approaches to solving this problem under the conditions of education reform in Ukraine.
The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate the technology of forming personal physical culture of adolescents aged 14-15 for the formation of sustainable motivation to engage in physical culture and sports.
Material and methods. To achieve this goal, the following research methods were used: analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature, sociological research methods (questionnaires, surveys), and methods of mathematical statistics.
The results. As part of the ascertaining experiment, we conducted an anonymous survey of teachers to determine the ways of forming personal physical culture of schoolchildren by teachers.
We have developed the technology based on a comprehensive integrative approach to solving the problem of personal physical culture formation and includes the goal, tasks, principles, directions of influence, organizational and pedagogical conditions of implementation and effectiveness criteria. The implementation of this technology involves the ability to create an individual trajectory of personal physical education of students with the possibility of choosing modern forms, methods and means proposed in the innovative technology.
Conclusions. We conducted a survey of physical education teachers regarding the possibilities of implementing the technology of forming personal physical education in secondary education institutions. Teachers agree that physical education contributes to the formation of physical culture in pupils’ personalities. In general, the survey results showed that 87% of teachers support the proposed approach to the formation of individual culture of pupils’ personalities. However, 47% believe that the introduction of certain forms, namely facultative classes, is very difficult in the context of an educational institution; 31.6% said that there was an insufficient amount of methodological resources; 39.4% indicated the need for special training for teachers in the course of in-service training or webinars. Teachers noted that there are certain differences in the interpretation of the components of personal physical education, and that its complex nature, which involves the influence on the physical, mental, social, spiritual and value spheres of a pupil’s development, is not fully taken into account. Accordingly, attention should be paid to the possibility of using all forms of physical education, including independent ones. The developed technology is based on a comprehensive integrative approach to solving the problem of personal physical culture formation and includes the goal, tasks, principles, directions of influence, organisational and pedagogical conditions of implementation and performance criteria.
