Introduction. The paper presents the justification and verification of the effectiveness of the innovative technology for the formation of patriotism in primary school children in various forms of physical education to increase their national self-awareness. Currently, one of the most acute problems of today is the issue of the formation of national and cultural identity, which is due to the need to assimilate historical memory, national and cultural values of the Ukrainian people and preserve national authenticity and traditions.
Purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the innovative technology for the formation of patriotism in primary school children in various forms of physical education to increase their national self-awareness.
Methods: analysis of literary sources, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics.
Research results. The structure of the innovative technology included the goal, principles, tasks (educational, health-improving, educational), forms (classroom and extracurricular). means (vital motor skills and abilities, patriotic movements, Ukrainian folk games and entertainment, traditional outdoor games of the Zaporizhzhia Sich and tourist hikes), innovative forms of organizing classes to involve younger schoolchildren in motor activity (quest, battle, flash mob, challenge), methods, stages of implementation and criteria of effectiveness. Pedagogical testing confirmed the effectiveness of the developed innovative technology for the formation of patriotism. Analysis of the results of the pedagogical experiment confirmed the effectiveness of the innovative technology we developed. As a result of its implementation, the level of development of the ability to remember, store and repeatedly reproduce the received information improved statistically significantly (p<0.05); most children already had medium and high levels of concentration and attention stability (p<0.05).
Conclusions. The results of the research allowed to scientifically substantiate an innovative technology for the formation of patriotism in primary school children based on the use of various forms of physical education, which contribute to increasing motivation to lead a healthy lifestyle, increasing and preserving family traditions, interest in the traditions of Ukraine, and observing the rules of respectful attitude to national symbols.
