Introduction. An analysis of current scientific research on the motivation of Chinese students to engage in physical activity indicates the growing importance of this issue. This is due to a decrease in the level of physical fitness of students, which leads to a deterioration in their health, as well as the emergence of psychological problems such as stress and reduced work capacity.
Analysis of theoretical approaches to the formation of motivation for motor activity of student youth in the PRC.
Materials and Methods. To solve the tasks, a complex of theoretical methods was used, which included: the study and analysis of domestic and foreign scientific sources, as well as recommendations and international strategic
documents in the field of physical culture and sports.
Results. The analysis of research by Chinese scientists highlights important aspects, such as the impact of the social environment, mass media and Internet platforms on the motivation of students to physical activity. A comparative analysis with studies in other countries allows us to identify both common trends and unique features of Chinese society. At the same time, the need for a more comprehensive and systematic approach to the study of motivation, which requires further scientific development, has been identified.
Conclusions A systematic study of modern research on motivation for physical activity among students in the PRC is necessary to create effective methods and strategies aimed at increasing the motivation of Chinese students to motor activity in the process of physical education. This, in turn, will help improve physical fitness and strengthen the health of young people in China.
