Abstract

Introduction: In the context of globalization and digital transformation, the analysis of the formation and development of professionally oriented competencies during the teaching of the discipline “Ukrainian Language for Professional Purposes” provides an opportunity to explore the deep interconnection between learning the Ukrainian language in a professional context and the influence of global and technological changes on this process. This includes defining the importance of forming professional competencies that meet the demands of modern society, particularly in the areas of communication, information technology, and intercultural relations.

Objective: Conceptualization of the formation and development of professionally oriented competencies in future specialists in the field of physical culture and sports during the teaching of the discipline “Ukrainian Language for Professional Purposes”.

Research Methods: Analysis of scientific and methodological literature, internet data, comparison, systematization and generalization, systemic, structural-functional, axiological, and synergetic analysis.

Results: The competencies formed during the teaching of the Ukrainian language for professional purposes are substantiated. These include the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are developed in students to ensure their capacity to effectively use the Ukrainian language in professional activities. Professionally oriented competencies are a combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualities that enable an individual to successfully perform professional tasks, engage in activities within a specific field, and adapt to an evolving professional environment. The key aspects of the concept of “professionally oriented competencies” include: 1) Knowledge – theoretical and practical information that forms the foundation for performing specific professional tasks. 2) Skills – the ability to apply acquired knowledge in practice. Skills can include technical abilities (use of tools, software) and soft skills (communication, teamwork, time management). 3) Competencies – practical actions that the individual can perform independently. These may be basic (e.g., literacy, calculations) or specialized (e.g., conducting analysis, creating reports). 4) Personal qualities – characteristics of the individual that influence the effectiveness of professional activity. 5) Context, as professionally oriented competencies are developed in a specific context, which includes the specifics of the professional field, labor market requirements, technological innovations, and cultural characteristics. 6) Quality assurance, as the development of professionally oriented competencies requires a systematic approach to learning, including the modernization of curricula, integration of practical classes, internships, and collaboration with industry professionals.

Conclusion. Therefore, it is worth noting that the formation and development of professionally oriented competencies in future specialists in the field of physical culture and sports during the teaching of the course “Ukrainian Language for Professional Purposes” in the context of globalization and digital transformation not only contributes to the development of basic language and communication skills, but also shapes the professional competencies necessary for a successful career in a Ukrainian-speaking environment. This also ensures an improvement in the quality of student preparation, adapting education to modern professional demands, which enhances their competitiveness in the labor market.
