Introduction. The strategic task of the modern system of preschool education is the formation of a comprehensively developed harmonious personality of the child. In solving this problem, physical education is of exceptional importance. One of the main areas of work of preschool institutions is the activity aimed at preserving the physical and mental health of children, which is the key to their further personal development and formation. In the current conditions of martial law and a difficult socio-economic situation, the problem becomes particularly acute and re- quires the modernization and optimization of preschool physical education. This led to the renewal of the conceptual foundations and program and regulatory support of preschool education, which took place in recent years.
The goal is to analyze the programmatic and normative support of the physical education system for preschoolers to determine current trends in its develop Hryhoriy Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav. The following methods were used in the research: theoretical analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodological literature and documentary materials, the method of system analysis.
Results. An analysis of the main provisions of the Concept of Education of Early and Preschool Children was conducted, according to which the physical education of a child should be integrated with other areas of his development (mental, emotional, social, spiritual). Aspects of physical education in the main programs for the development of preschoolers, which are recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for implementation in preschool educational institutions (programs “Child”, “I am in the World”, “Confident Start”, etc.) were revealed. Conclusions. The considered programs generally correspond to modern world trends in preschool education (competence, activity approach), the Concept of Education of Early and Preschool Children, the Standard of Preschool Education in Ukraine. However, the content of these programs did not include scientific data on new approaches to the formation of a harmoniously developed personality of preschool children in the process of physical education, which were obtained as a result of fundamental research by domestic scientists and could increase the effectiveness of these programs. We believe that there is a problem of insufficient communication between specialists in preschool education and the sphere of physical culture and sports.
